Etched Glass With Custom Art

From Simple to Sophisticated

Etched-Glass

Etched glass transforms plain glass into a work of art. Enjoy the functionality of glass with the beauty of this timeless, classic art form. Besides looking great, etched glass can provide much needed privacy for spaces such as a home or business entryway. Etched glass doors and frosted glass interior doors are two of our most requested etched glass projects that make a home special. Showers and tubs are another popular application for etched glass doors. Almost all designs can be etched on glass as a positive or negative image depending on how much privacy is desired.

Etched glass or mirror comes to life at the hands of Glass Artist Peter Edward. He is well known for his excellent detail and precision with etched glass and other types of art glass. For more than 30 years, he has specialized in all types of etched glass, carved glass, illuminated glass, etched glass doors and windows, frosted glass interior doors and exterior doors, decorative mirrors, art glass panels, designer glass walls, room dividers and etched glass shower doors.

Custom art glass done by hand is the difference that has made Krystal Glass Company the leader in etched glass doors for 35 years. We will not hand you a catalog and make you to pick a design. Art will be created custom for you exactly how you want it so that your house will not look like a neighbor’s. Your glass doors will then be etched at our studio or at your property with utmost attention to detail, shading, and multiple tones as seen in the pictures on this website.

Etched glass doors have made Krystal Glass Company and artist Peter Edward well-known for quality glass etching in South Florida and beyond. We ship etched glass doors anywhere. Although we do not sell or install doors, we can work with your doors in any material. We offer new etched glass door inserts if you need them.

What Makes Our Etched Glass Special

Peter Edward’s unique style of tonal glass etching is achieved by hand, not computer which sets him apart from other glass artists. The result is a precise multi-shaded effect of etched glass which creates a stunning three-dimensional look. His specialty is custom glass etching of unique designs created special for each client.

Krystal Glass Company also offer basic designs you can select from a catalog if you prefer a basic design. We can work from your design or ours. We are well-known for intricate detail on all types of etched glass regardless of the design chosen.

Uses for Custom Glass Etching

Frosted glass interior doors and etched glass doors for the exterior of the home are two of our most common projects. We consider frosted glass and glass etching to mean the same thing, but we find that people often use the phrase “frosted glass” to mean solid glass etching without a design. Either way, you will get the same high quality of custom glass etching. All projects are done by hand, not machine like many other companies use.

Other uses for etched glass are windows, table and bar tops, shower doors and partitions, room dividers, custom etched mirror, cabinet glass doors and much more. Browse our Gallery for ideas, and view our Frequently Asked Questions to learn more.

Broken Etched Glass Doors Replaced

Krystal Glass Company is extremely skilled at duplicating etched glass doors when one piece of glass breaks. This is not easy to do when an existing piece of etched glass needs to be matched. Ever wondered what you would do if one of your etched glass doors, sidelights or a window were to break? It happens frequently, and usually the piece is just one component of a coordinated etched glass entryway. It needs to be replaced by a glass artist who can make it look just like the original. Peter Edward replaces etched glass doors, sidelights and windows with artwork just like the original.

“I am completely in awe of Pete’s work, and of how quickly he did it. My husband and I are both thrilled,” Germaine said. “I can’t get over how perfect it looks. Like it never even happened!”

How To Clean Etched Glass

Special care should be taken to avoid touching an etched glass surface. Even oils that naturally occur with fingerprints can leave marks on etched glass. Dirt, water spots, and dog noses can also smudge the etched glass. Frequent cleaning will help the etched glass stay beautiful.

Use a high quality glass cleaner like Hi-Sheen which we sell at Krystal Glass Company or Windex and spray it onto paper towels rather than spraying the etched surface directly. Then wipe until the etched glass is dry.

Etched glass is one of the most beautiful and classic looks to use when upgrading your home or business interior. Keep it looking great with frequent cleaning and minimal handling.
